WWA - Beliefs Unit Reflection
WWA - Beliefs Unit Reflection
- What do you think a belief is? Give an example.
A belief is what a person believes in such as Christians believe in Jesus so that would be their belief.
- What does it mean to be tolerant and have respect for other people’s beliefs? Give an example. To be tolerant and respectful to other people’s beliefs means for example if you are Jewish and you don’t believe in Jesus you have to be ok that other people might not believe what you believe.
- Have you thought about your own personal beliefs or those of your family a little more since completing this unit of inquiry? Please explain
Yes, because I am Christian and I didn’t know as much as I know now about Christianity. I learned a lot more about Christianity and started paying more attention to the other religions as much as to mine.
- What has been your favourite part of this unit? Why?
I think the summative assessment was my favourite part because my group made a play. I thought it was really fun writing the script and making the display board for our presentation. But what I enjoyed the most was presenting the Eight Commandments.
- If you could give the teachers some advice on how to make this unit better, what would you suggest?
Maybe visit some more places of worship from different religions and not just a church close to the end of the unit.
