Design - Stop Motion
Stop Motion
In design we started our first group project which was a stop motion video. We got into groups of at least 3 and maximum of 5 people in a group. I was in a group with Sofia A and Allegra. We decided to make a movie about a family of snow people and that we hoped would be heartwarming and cute. My group worked together well most of the time however we did have fall outs, arguments and disagreements. Since some of the members in my group weren’t there for some of the design lessons, we had to stay in during break to finish the video and document. I think if I had to do this project again I would plan out my thinking before hand and possibly choose a more cooperative group. In our MYP Report we each made our own reflections. This was mine:
Our product was successful because it travelled a heartwarming feeling towards the audience. Our video can’t create fear or anger within people. Our video communicates joy and sadness throughout the movie and at different sections can trigger different emotions for different viewers. If I were to make this movie again I would plan the entire story out and check if it would be long enough first before starting to film anything. I would also plan our lessons and time periods available to work on this project. We could make it better if we timed and planned all the lessons beforehand and organized what we would do during each lesson. We could’ve also made it better if we spent a little less time on the props and instead of making everything, trying to use materials and props that were already made and ready for our use.
