Readers Theatre Performance

I worked in a group of five. Me, Saxon, Gustav, Peter and Aksel. We all decided that we were going to do a tweaked Robin Hood story. So, first we decided the characters, Marianne (Robin Hood's wife), Michel (Robin Hood and Marianne's daughter), Robin Hood, Sparrow Hood(Robin Hood's younger brother) and Little Pete. Then we decided who would be what. Saxon would be Marianne, I'd be Michel, Gustav Robin Hood, Peter Sparrow and Aksel Little Pete. Soon we were zooming onto our script! We started off with Peter being the bad guy, (which of course stayed!) Gustav and Aksel would be out fishing while Peter ties me and Saxon to chairs! We had to sort out our costumes at the last minute because we were so caught up practising our play that we didn't have time! So in the end I brought two dresses for me and Saxon plus a bow for Gustav. Peter and Gustav face timed each other to see who was wearing what. Aksel did the same. I absolutely loved performing in front of the grade! I thought our little touch of comedy on the play script really spiced up the show!

Cast:  

Sparrow Hood - Robin hood’s brother he is also the bad guy who take money from the poor.He also has a bow and arrow. His age is twenty two.

Robin Hood - A man who was born in England he has a wife called Marianne, a brother called Sparrow Hood and a daughter called Michel. He steals from the king and gives it to the poor and keeps some for himself and his Family. His age is thirty one. He is super good at shooting with arrows.

Michel - A little girl called Michel she wears a red princess looking dress with golden strips. Michel is the daughter of Robin Hood and Marianne. Her age is eight. She loves cooking like her mother. They always cook together.  

Marianne - Robin Hood’s wife is Marianne, She comes from England and has a little girl called Michelle. Marianne loves blueberries, she wears a white apron with a yellow t-shirt. Marianne is thirty. She also loves cooking.                                                          

Little Pete - Little Pete is Robin Hood’s best friend. He is fat and really small. He is nineteen years old. Little Pete is from England.

                            Scene 1Michel: It all started long ago in a galaxy far far away from here, no I’m just kidding! Just around the corner! There is a little town called Norkfort. There lived the two Hood brothers. Sparrow and Robin.

Robin: Hey! Sparrow do you want to go fishing while the girls get the stew ready?

Sparrow: Yeah! I would love to come with you!

Marianne: (starts packing bag for fishing trip) Michel, could you help me pack your father's fishing rods?

Michel: (Help pack the the fishing rods) Yeah sure! It’s not like I got anything else to do.

Robin: Goodbye girls! See you in two days! We’ll miss you.

Sparrow: Yeah girls. See you in two days!

Michel: We’ll miss you daddy! Bye bye! (wave to Gustav)

Marianne: Bye honey!

Robin: Bye sweetheart ! I love you!

Marianne: See you in two days!

Michel: You guys are weird!

Robin: Let’s head out Sparrow!

Sparrow: Yeah please! I agree with Michel. You guys are weird!

Little Pete: (Knock on the door)

Robin: (Open the door) Pete! We were just about to come ask you if you wanted to come on a fishing trip. Just you, me and sparrow.  

Little Pete: Sparrow?

Sparrow: Little Pete? Hey buddy!!! What’s up?!

Little Pete: Buddy!! Are you my buddy?

Marianne: Are you guys going to leave or not? Come on go already! Please!

Michel: (Shout at them) Yeah go. Now!

Sparrow: I need to stay back for a sec. You guys can start without me.

Robin and LP: Yeah sure. Take your time.

Sparrow: (acting calm like he’s not going to do anything big)

Michel: What are you doing Uncle Sparrow?

Sparrow: Ah! you scared me!

Michel: Did I really scare you? Cool!!!

Sparrow: Yes you did a lot!

Michel: Why aren't you gone already?

Sparrow:  Um… well I needed to….. go to the um…..  bathroom!

Michel: Yeah right. What are you actually doing? Huh?! Huh?!

Marianne: Michel who are you talking to? (walk into the living room) Sparrow what are you doing here?

Sparrow: Could you get two chairs for me please, and uh some rope as well!

Marianne: Yeah sure.

Sparrow: Sit down on the chairs with your hands together. (In a more stern voice)

Marianne and Michael : Ok (in a frightened voice)

Scene 4

Marianne: Why are you being so weird? And what are you going to do with us.                                                                         

Robin: Are you coming or not? Wait a second. Why is my family tied to a chair and…

Little Pete: Yeah why are they tied up?

Robin: Is it just me or is this some kind of joke?

Little Pete: Yeah I think this is this a joke?

Little Pete: Joke boom shaka laka

Marianne: Well um….We were just playing a um... game before um… you guys go and it is called musical chairs and…. Um… Sparrow tied us up to win the game!!

LP: Oooo! Can I play?

Michel: Oh, brother! (tries to slap forehead but can’t reach)

(Fake sissy fight slap scene then blood blood blood and dead)

Michel: A little help here?!

Marianne: Thank you so much sweetheart!

Robin: You’re welcome and sparrow you’re not welcome in my house ever again or to see my family ever ever again

Sparrow:  What?!

Michel: Yeah you heard him dude!

Marianne: Michel Dont be rude.

Michel:  Just sayin’!
