Effects of migration on communities, cultures and individuals
Your challenge: Inquire into a migration that you are curious about. It could be one you’ve learned about in class or one you are personally interested in.  Your final piece should address the lines of inquiry and include any other relevant information related to the migration you’ve chosen.
Some ways you might present your findings:
  • Write a newspaper article based on an interview with a migrant or refugee
  • Create a blog
I worked with Chiara, Saxon and Sylvia.
We inquired into The Holocaust.
We decided to present our findings in a play/interview.

Jitish Kallat Portraits We made our portraits in the style of Jitish Kallat an artist from Mumbai.   We represented our cultural identity, nationality, language, religion and ethnicity in our portraits. Here is my portrait. How does your portrait reflect your cultural Identity? It shows my cultural identity in the background because I drew the Brazilian flag which is where I come from. I put down ISZL because it is one of the schools I have been to. I love to eat sushi so I put that down because it is part of me. I put down all the things that matter to me in my life. Some of the words and pictures I put on my painting reflected all the things I think are important in life. Such as my family in the top left corner of my hair, my friends in the lower right, my favourite teddy bear, me and my brothers Xbox 360 and the cinema at the top middle of my head.

Final Art Rotation Reflection May 2017 Mrs Richardson Week 1 I learned more things on advertisement today b drawing a pizza box. I learned that you have to make it look really yummy to eat to make people buy it and you should add bright colours to make it stand out. Like at McDonald's where they make it look even better than in real life! I learned that you have to make it as accurate as possible when you’re advertising because people might get disappointed if it’s not all they expected it to be. I liked the challenge with drawing the font because sometimes it was bold , sometimes it was cursive . Sometimes it was underlined , sometimes it was comic font. I really liked drawing the boxes but it was a challenge for me at specific parts of the box! I especially enjoyed colouring it in! Procedural Writing

We did an experiment with different types of toy balls. We would drop all of them from a specific height and see how high the ball would bounce. We then measured the height and moved onto the next ball. Once we dropped all the balls once we would drop them again. We dropped them 3 times. In the end the ball which jumped the highest was a red spiky ball.
