G6 - First Day Reflection

G6 - First Day (draft)
Today was my first day of middle school. A new chapter of my life. It was so much more than I thought it would be. For example I thought my class was going to be really bad and I wasn’t going to like anyone but my class is really funny and interesting. The funniest thing that happened today was in the morning when Ms. Perreira and Mr. Giraudo were going through a welcome presentation but Mrs. Perreira kept touching the screen, so she said “I can’t touch this!” and started humming the song “Can’t Touch This”!


I hope this year is going to be really fun and makes me think a lot because I would like to improve my thinking skills and become more of an inquirer than I was last year. I think I’m going to have a really entertaining and just interesting in general! I think today has helped to clear up any questions that I wasn’t sure of before.


The teachers were really nice when explaining to us what we needed and what different teachers we had for each period. They also showed us where most of the places we would have to go to were. I think the teachers are going to be really helpful and encouraging for us throughout this year whatever the situation may be.

I’m truly looking forward to spending a year with my new teachers and classmates.

Final Art Rotation Reflection May 2017 Mrs Richardson Week 1 I learned more things on advertisement today b drawing a pizza box. I learned that you have to make it look really yummy to eat to make people buy it and you should add bright colours to make it stand out. Like at McDonald's where they make it look even better than in real life! I learned that you have to make it as accurate as possible when you’re advertising because people might get disappointed if it’s not all they expected it to be. I liked the challenge with drawing the font because sometimes it was bold , sometimes it was cursive . Sometimes it was underlined , sometimes it was comic font. I really liked drawing the boxes but it was a challenge for me at specific parts of the box! I especially enjoyed colouring it in! Procedural Writing

We did an experiment with different types of toy balls. We would drop all of them from a specific height and see how high the ball would bounce. We then measured the height and moved onto the next ball. Once we dropped all the balls once we would drop them again. We dropped them 3 times. In the end the ball which jumped the highest was a red spiky ball.
