I+S Assessment 1 - Bronze Iron and Stone Age

I+S Assessment 1
My first assessment was about stone, bronze and iron age jewelry/accessories. I decided to
make an essay with my P.E.E. chains and draw out the different types of necklaces and
bracelets. My writing was set up in 3 different paragraphs, 1 for each era. I think the time period
was perfect since we had a double period on the last day to finish off and prepare anything else
that we needed to make since ms. Hubbard was there to help us if we needed any help. I
thought this was a good project to start with as an assessment because it’s similar to a small
exhibition but with a lot less detail on the subject. I think this first assessment in Individuals and
Society will prepare us for further assessments along the school year.


After learning about different types of jewelry, I can describe what they looked like and how they
were worn. I had a lot of fun drawing out different designs on necklaces.

Final Art Rotation Reflection May 2017 Mrs Richardson Week 1 I learned more things on advertisement today b drawing a pizza box. I learned that you have to make it look really yummy to eat to make people buy it and you should add bright colours to make it stand out. Like at McDonald's where they make it look even better than in real life! I learned that you have to make it as accurate as possible when you’re advertising because people might get disappointed if it’s not all they expected it to be. I liked the challenge with drawing the font because sometimes it was bold , sometimes it was cursive . Sometimes it was underlined , sometimes it was comic font. I really liked drawing the boxes but it was a challenge for me at specific parts of the box! I especially enjoyed colouring it in! Procedural Writing

We did an experiment with different types of toy balls. We would drop all of them from a specific height and see how high the ball would bounce. We then measured the height and moved onto the next ball. Once we dropped all the balls once we would drop them again. We dropped them 3 times. In the end the ball which jumped the highest was a red spiky ball.
